   Muriel Celeste Peterson Galla passed away peacefully on September 16th, 2024 at the age of 98. She is preceded in death by her parents Peter R. Peterson and Lillian Moresi of Jeanerette, Louisiana.

   She attended both LSU and UCLA and after graduating taught grade school in California, Florida, Kentucky and Japan. She married the love of her life Dr. Patrick Galla in June 1964. They spent 60 beautiful years together. Dr. Patrick Galla passed away in April 2024.

   Muriel lived for her children Christopher and Thomas and her eyes lit up when her grandsons walked in the room. She was kind and generous to everyone she met and will be remembered for her beautiful smile. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Christopher(Jason) and Thomas(Carolee); her grandsons Thomas, Patrick and Gabe.

   Visitation will be from 9:30am to 11:30am, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Pearson’s, 149 Breckenridge Lane.

Funeral Service will be held 11:30am, Saturday, also at Pearson’s. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Louisville Zoo, Attn. Development Office, PO Box 37250, Louisville, Kentucky 40233.

Our Famiglia gathered to celebrate the amazing life of our beloved patriarch, Dr. Patrick P. Galla, in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Present were his children: Christine and her husband, Howard, Patrick and his wife, Sally, Christopher and his partner, Jason, and Thomas and his wife, Carolee. In addition to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many of his nieces and nephews traveled to pay homage to a great man.
